Najnowszy Uniwersalny słownik języka polskiego PWN zawiera około 100 000 haseł. Każde hasło w słowniku oprócz podstawowych informacji o znaczeniu danego wyrazu zawiera także informacje o jego pochodzeniu, prawidłowej odmianie i właściwej wymowie. Dodatkowo w skład słownika wchodzi bogaty zbiór przysłów polskich i związków frazeologicznych, wraz z obszernymi wyjaśnieniami ich znaczeń.

Słownik prezentuje również rozbudowany zestaw terminów specjalistycznych z wielu dziedzin. Wszystkie przysłowia, terminy i frazeologizmy dostępne są wprost z menu słownika.

W tym słowniku istnieje możliwość dopisywania własnych haseł i notatek. Dzięki takiemu rozwiązaniu można na bieżąco aktualizować słownik, lepiej dostosowując go do swoich potrzeb. Można również do istniejących haseł dopisywać notatki o dowolnej treści.

Słownik oparty jest na Uniwersalnym słowniku języka polskiego (Warszawa 2003, PWN), który na podstawie recenzji prof. prof. Andrzeja Markowskiego, Stanisława Gajdy i Jerzego Podrackiego otrzymał rekomendację Rady Języka Polskiego przy Prezydium PAN. Jest to najwyższe wyróżnienie przyznawane przez wybitnych językoznawców, świadczące o bardzo wysokim poziomie słownika.

Dodatkowym atutem programu jest oparcie go nie tylko na "staromodnej" kartotece cytatów, ale również na Korpusie Języka Polskiego PWN (największym liczącym ponad 100 000 000 słów elektronicznym zbiorze tekstów z literatury i prasy oraz języka mówionego), co wzmacnia wiarygodność słownika.

• About 100 000 entries with the information about the meaning, origin, inflection or conjugation, pronunciation and rules of proper usage.
  
• Proverbs and popular phrases with the explanation of their frequently mataphorical meanings and specialistic terms. Moreover - in our Internet service you do not have to search for them in the entries - all proverbs, terms and popular phrases are available straight from the dictionary menu.
  
• Over 100 thousand words of similar meaning are added to the basis of the dictionary, enabling to find a word in the net of semantical connections, which it forms with other words of Polish language. With their help those who care about language form of their statements will find the most exact words, thus avoiding monotony and repetitions.
  
• Index a tergo - the list of dictionary entries in inverted alphabetic order, where words of similar ending stand near each other. It helps to find a good rhyme or a family of words with common suffix.

The entries available in the Internet come from the Universal dictionary of Polish language, edited by Stanisław Dubisz and Elżbieta Sobol. It contains about 100 thousand entries (over 145 thousand lexical items, ex. definitive two-word terms, idiomatic constructions, proverbs). It contains words mainly from the second half of XX century and beginning of XXI, it omits most old and archaic words.

In the dictionary one can also find meaning relations for chosen entries form the Universal dictionary of Polish language, edited by the Editorial Staff of Polish Language Dictionaries.
