Perspectives in Supramolecular Chemistry has established itself as the leading book series on supramolecular chemistry. Founded by Nobel Prize winner, Jean Marie Lehn, part of the team that was awarded the Nobel Prize with Pedersen and Cram for their work on Supramolecular chemistry in 1987, Perspectives in Supramolecular Chemistry covers essential research findings in this important and growing field. Focusing on key areas such as crystals, vesicles, supramolecular approaches to major areas of the biochemical sciences such as enzyme lock and key mechanisms, DNA structures and biomimetic systems, it also covers major topics in materials science such as supramolecular materials and technology. Volumes date from the late 1990s up to current dates encompassing some of the latest thinking and research findings in this critical interdisciplinary area of research.

The aim of supramolecular chemistry is to understand and then apply chemistry beyond the basic bond (the linkage of two atoms by the sharing of electrons) and has multiple applications in the major areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, materials and polymer science, which are reflect in the wide interdisciplinary areas covered in the volumes.

Series Founder: Jean Marie Lehn, Winner of the Nobel Prize for his work on Supramolecular Chemistry in 1987.
