Internationale fachbibliographische Datenbank mit über 330.000 Literaturnachweisen aus allen Bereichen der allgemeinen und vergleichenden Linguistik (inkl. Randgebiete) und zu allen Sprachen der Welt, unabhängig von Sprache und Erscheinungsort der Veröffentlichung.
Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf nicht-indoeuropäischen Sprachen und weniger bekannten indo-europäischen Sprachen, darunter zahlreiche vom Aussterben bedrohte oder bereits ausgestorbene Sprachen. Verstärkt berücksichtigt die Bibliographie Veröffentlichungen außerhalb Westeuropas und Nordamerikas.
Verzeichnet werden Bücher, Aufsätze aus rund 2.800 ausgewerteten Zeitschriften sowie Rezensionen. Berichtszeitraum: 1993 ff. Updates: monatlich. Jährlicher Zuwachs: rund 20.000 Nachweise.

The Linguistic Bibliography Online is an essential linguistic reference tool that is unique in its field. The online edition contains all entries of the printed volumes as of 1993 and new records are added on a monthly basis. Annual volumes of the Linguistic Bibliography will continue to be published in print by Brill.
