BrainNavigator ist ein neurowissenschaftliches Forschungstool von Elsevier, entwickelt in Kooperation mit dem Allen Institute for Brain Science. In der derzeitigen "Rodent Edition" sind die Gehirne von Maus und Ratte kartiert und interaktiv such- und navigierbar (Nomenklatur von Paxinos, Watson und Puelles). Zur Verfügung stehen ein 2-D- und 3-D-Atlas mit Zeichnungen und Photos des Gehirns bis auf Zellebene. BrainNavigator ermöglicht auch das Hochladen eigener Inhalte zum Vergleich, das Hinzufügen eigener Anmerkungen sowie der Austausch mit anderen registrierten Nutzern der Datenbank. Die Einbindung von Menschen- und Affengehirn ist für das 3. Quartal 2010 geplant. |
