Verlagsinformation :: Publisher's information The history of ideas is a historical discipline that examines the influence of one or several ideas belonging to one or other of the cultural-historical disciplines during a long period or at a time "t". The second term of the title, literary criticism, focuses on literature in order to read it, interpret it, judge it, but also to understand its genesis or form. In creating this new collection at the end of the 1950s, Libraire Droz wished to welcome any work relating to these two disciplines, from the Middle Ages to the most contemporary period. Over the years, Histoire des idées et critique littéraire has refocused on the contemporary period, from the 19th century to the present day. The first part of this database contains one hundred and ten titles published in the last twenty years: the very important books by Jacques Berchtold (Les prisons du roman), Jérôme Meizoz (L'âge du roman parlant), Stéphanie Genand (La chambre noire. Germaine de Staël et la pensée du négatif), Philippe Hamon (Rencontres sur tables et choses qui traînent. De la nature morte littéraire), Niveurmôrre studying the translations of the "Corbeau" in the 19th century (Julien Zanetta), studies on Musset, Chateaubriand, Nerval, Lamartine, Dumas père, Baudelaire, the Goncourts, Zola, Mallarmé, Proust, Victor Segalen, Romain Rolland, Beckett, Montherlant, Queneau, Romain Gary, Perec, Marguerite Duras, and Marguerite Yourcenar... to Henry Bauchau or François Cheng, etc. Other studies on the woman of the show at the end of the nineteenth century, on the "novels" of the Salpêtrière around Charcot, on the history of Ultima Thule, then on the territories of the golden age, on the literary annotation, the beauty of hatred, the relationship between medicine and literature, New York French literary myth or on Europe in literature. The following parts will present four hundred additional titles with all thirty-eight volumes of Pierre Conlon's bibliographic repertory of the Enlightenment (six for the Prelude to the Enlightenment 1685-1715; thirty-two for the Age of Enlightenment, 1716-1789), the four volumes of Romeo Arbour's bibliographic repertory on the Baroque age, complete correspondence of writers or artists (Fénelon, Théophile Gautier, James Pradier, Rodolphe Töpffer...), but also partial (Charles Nodier, Edmond de Goncourt, Marcel Schwob, André Gide...), diaries (the Marquis de Bombelle), original texts such as the Œuvres-plus que-complètes of Félix Fénéon. We will find major books such as Héros et orateurs by Marc Fumaroli (a luminous study on Corneille), Le mythe de Prométhée by Raymond Trousson, Le Théâtre dans le théâtre sur la scène française by Georges Forestier, La poétique des ruines by Roland Mortier, La Bruyère moraliste by Louis van Delft, La Chute d'Icare. La crise de la poésie française (1700-1750) by Sylvain Menant, les Formes métaphoriques dans la poésie lyrique de l'âge baroque en France by Fernand Hallyn, etc. Principles of digital publishing:
