Volltextdatenbank mit über 1.800 literarischen, historischen, literatur- und kunstkritischen Texten in französischer Sprache. Die zeitliche Abdeckung reicht vom Mittelalter bis ins 20. Jahrhundert.

Bibliothèque des Lettres vereinigt folgende thematische Sammlungen:

Théâtre du Grand Siècle: Corneille, Molière, Racine

   

Volltextsammlung zum französischen Drama des 17. Jahrhunderts. Enthalten sind 77 Werke von Thomas Corneille, Jean Baptiste Moliere und Jean Racine.

Autour du romantisme: le roman

Volltextsammlung zum französischen Roman des ausgehenden 18. sowie des 19. Jahrhunderts mit insgesamt über 240 Texten. Enthalten sind neben sämtlichen Werken von François-René de Chateaubriand, Victor Hugo, Théophile Gautier, Jules Barbey d'Aurevilly, George Sand und Stendhal auch eine Auswahl der Werke von 45 weiteren Autoren, darunter Honoré de Balzac, Alexandre Dumas, Marquis de Sade and Madame de Staël. Vertreten sind auch Werke weniger bekannter Autoren sowie Werke von Autoren wie Astolphe de Custine, Pétrus Borel und Charles Nodier, die außer in Originalausgaben, oft schwer zugänglich sind.

Volltextsammlung zum französischen Roman realistischer und naturalistischer Ausprägung. Enthalten sind rund 300 Romane und Erzählungen, die von 1820 bis 1910 veröffentlicht wurden, darunter das gesamte Romanwerk von Honoré de Balzac, Alphonse Daudet, Gustave Flaubert, der Brüder Goncourt, Joris-Karl Huysmans, Guy de Maupassant, Stendhal, Jules Vallès und Emile Zola sowie eine Auswahl von Werken der sog. Volltextsammlung zur französischen Lyrik vom Mittelalter bis zum Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts. Enthalten sind die kompletten Werke von über 40 Hauptvertretern der Gattung, darunter Baudelaire, Beaumarchais, Breton, Chrétien de Troyes, Cyrano de Bergerac, Villon, Hugo, La Fontaine, Lamartine, Mallarmé, Rimbaud, Verlaine, Vigny und Voltaire.

This collection is dedicated to French theatre of the seventeenth century including the complete dramatic works of Molière, Racine and Corneille.

Autour du romantisme: Le roman, 1792-1888

"Autour du romantisme" includes the complete novels of 16 central figures, such as Chateaubriand, Hugo, Gautier, Barbey d'Aurevilly, Sand and Stendhal, and a generous selection of the works of 45 other authors including Balzac, Duras, Sade and Staël. A number of the texts included, notably those by Custine, Borel and Nodier, are particularly difficult to locate in any other form. Alongside the well-known novelists, the collection offers you the works of authors who are less often studied but just as important for the development of the French novel.

"Les Romanciers réalistes et naturalistes" contains over 300 prose works written between 1820 and 1910, by all the authors of the French realistic and naturalistic movement. This database includes the complete works of Balzac, Daudet, Flaubert, Les Goncourt, Huysmans, Maupassant, Stendhal, Vallès and Zola plus a selection of authors such as Les Familiers de Médan and Le Manifeste des Cinq. The combination of the familiar and less readily available novels enables you to trace the influences upon the realistic and naturalistic movement.
