Internationale Fachbibliographie mit rund 80.000 Nachweisen von selbständiger Literatur (Monographien, Sammelbände) zur Mediävistik sowie rund 40.000 Nachweisen von Rezensionen. Zu den behandelten Fachbereichen zählen Geschichte, Sprache und Literatur, Philosophie, Kunstgeschichte, Archäologie u.a. Die zeitliche Abdeckung konzentriert sich anfänglich auf das Hochmittelalter und wird sukzessiv auf Früh- und Spätmittelalter ausgeweitet.
Die Datenbank ergänzt die "International Medieval Bibliography", die führende Fachbibliographie mit Nachweisen von unselbstständiger Literatur zur Mittelalterforschung und kann zusammen mit dieser durchsucht werden. Zusätzlich besteht die Möglichkeit, zu den Sachbegriffen der Bibliographie ausführliche Artikel aus dem "Lexikon des Mittelalters" abzurufen. Berichtszeitraum: 1958 ff. Updates: jährlich.

The Bibliographie de civilisation médiévale has been established by the Centre d'Études Supérieures de Civilisation Médiévale (Université de Poitiers) and aims to provide a comprehensive, current bibliography of monographs worldwide and listings of miscellany volumes (conference proceedings, essay collections or Festschriften). The Bibliographie de civilisation médiévale currently comprises more than 80,000 titles from 1958 to 2023; i.e. the whole of the relevant elements from the famous bibliography in the Cahiers de civilisation médiévale. Every reference has been fully classified by date, subject and location, and provides full bibliographical records.
