New Directions for Evaluation, an official publication of the American Evaluation Association (first published under the title New Directions for Program Evaluation), offers program administrators, institutional researchers, and all evaluation specialists techniques and procedures for conducting useful evaluations of all types of programs, from educational curricula to health programs. This backfile represents the first 88 issues of New Directions for Evaluation. As with the current format, each issue in this backfile is thematic and explores a specific topic in great detail. Topics have included methodological debates, such as qualitative and quantitative methods in evaluation; examinations of the intersect of evaluation and broader social questions; shared experiences and lessons learned from notable practitioners and scholars in the field; and presentation of new and ground-breaking approaches in evaluation.
