The highly qualified specialists of those libraries started to create the catalogue in 1977. In 2000 "The Electronic Archive Co.", the leading Russian company that specializes on creation of electronic library and archival resources, financed and provided technical support of creation of electronic version of the catalogue. Today this catalogue is the largest source of bibliographical information about Russian-language editions of 1826-1917 period in the world. This resource is highly useful to those, who are interested in Russian culture, Russian language and literature, Russian science, politics and history of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries. The catalogue describes the most rare items, including official documents, along with the works of outstanding Russian writers, poets, publicists, scientists, as well as the works by many foreign authors, translated into Russian language... On the whole, in our catalogue you can find bibliographical information on Russian-language books of every kind published in Russia and abroad in the above-mentioned period. In cooperation with library specialists, our programmers provided different search options, convenient ways of record representation, a choice between Cyrillic and transliteration scripts, and both English and Russian interfaces for the catalogue. You can find the necessary book or get the necessary list of editions, filling one or several of the following fields: author, collective author, title, personal name as subject, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, organization, series; the search within results is also possible.
