Inhalt :: Content Volltextausgabe der philosophischen und theologischen Schriften des schottischen Theologen und Philosophen Johannes Duns Scotus (1266-1308) auf der Grundlage der vom Franciscan Institute of St. Bonaventure University herausgegebenen kritischen Ausgabe der "Opera Philosophica" (5 Bände, 1997-2006). Enthalten sind darüber hinaus - im lateinischen Original und in englischer Übersetzung - u.a. die "Reportatio parisiensis examinata I.A.", eine vermutlich von Scotus durchgesehene Mitschrift der Pariser Vorlesungen (ca. 1302-1313), die "Lectura", die erste Fassung des Sentenzenkommentars (ca. 1299 in Oxford), die "Ordinatio" bzw. das "Opus Oxoniense" (ca. 1300), ein mehrfach überarbeitetes Konzept des Sentenzenkommentars sowie der "Tractatus de Primo Principio (ca. 1305). Als einer der bedeutendsten franziskanischen Theologen begründete er die nach ihm benannte scholastische Richtung des Scotismus. Er verband darin u.a. Lehren des Aristoteles, des Augustinus und der Franziskaner miteinander. Als einer der ersten mittelalterlichen Denker betrachtete Scotus Philosophie und Theologie als unterschiedliche Disziplinen mit unterschiedlichen Aussagegehalten. |
