Standardreferenzwerk der griechischen Altertumswissenschaften, das als Ergänzung zu Jacoby Online und insbesondere zu "Die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker IV" gedacht ist. Es handelt sich um eine Sammlung kritischer Editionen von Quellentexten und Fragmenten griechischer Grammatiker, d. h. antiker Gelehrter, die sich mit Textkritik, Literaturexegese, Grammatik, Biografie und den verschiedenen Bereichen der Gelehrsamkeit befassen.
Jeder Eintrag besteht aus einem biografischen und kulturellen Profil eines Grammatikers sowie einer neuen (oft ersten) kritischen Ausgabe aller vorhandenen Zeugnisse und Quellen in ihrer Originalsprache. Die Einträge werden durch Übersetzungen und analytische Kommentare begleitet und durch umfassende Literaturangaben ergänzt.
Während die ersten acht Bände in Printform erschienen sind, wird das Werk ab 2025 ausschließlich als Online-Ausgabe fortgeführt, wodurch eine kontinuierliche Erweiterung und Aktualisierung ermöglicht wird.

Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum is an essential reference work for scholars of Greek antiquity, designed to complement Jacoby Online and specifically Die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker IV. It is a collection of critical editions of testimonies and fragments of Greek grammarians, namely, ancient scholars dealing with textual criticism, literary exegesis, grammar, biography, and the various fields of erudition.

Each entry consists of a biographical and cultural profile of a grammarian and a new (often first) critical edition of all the existing testimonies and sources in their original language. These are supported by translations and analytical commentaries and followed by a thorough bibliography.

The project is overseen by general editors Franco Montanari, Fausto Montana, Lara Pagani, and Serena Perrone, whose expertise ensures the scholarly precision, rigor and reliability of this resource.

8 volumes are expected to be published in print. Starting 2025, Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum will continue as an online reference work only. New supplements will be added to the online edition but will not appear in print format.
