Verlagsinformation :: Publisher's information
The aim of the series L’atelier du médiéviste is to provide advanced students and researchers from other disciplines with introductory guides to a research area, a language, a category of sources, or a research theme.
The L’Atelier du médiéviste ONLINE aims not only to bring the series as an eBook, but also to enrich the eBook with direct links to relevant databases, from Brepols and other partners. For example, we will provide links to several bibliographical databases, encyclopaedias, source collections and dictionaries (including but not limited to the International Medieval Bibliography, Lexikon des Mittelalters and the Database of Latin Dictionaries), hosted on BREPOLiS, the platform of databases from Brepols.
Moreover, the addition of English abstracts and keywords, the update of the bibliography, the numerous full text DOI links, and links to digitised manuscripts will make them invaluable tools for the twenty-first century medievalist. In addition, the content of the books will be revised to give
readers an up to date overview of the state of the arts.
In this way, each individual volume in the digital L’Atelier du médiéviste series will become a dynamic gateway to secondary literature and sources.
The volumes must therefore provide in-depth information (to a greater or lesser extent, depending on whether or not manuals already exist for a given research area), and offer a general overview, including a critical assessment of what has been achieved in a given discipline, as well as new and
promising projects.
The publication program is transparent and ambitious. We foresee an average of 3 new titles per year, always striving to combine a completely new publication with a thorough update of an already existing title:
