Enthalten sind neben literarischen Texten auch eine groge Bandbreite nicht-fiktionaler Texte, die von Essays, religiösen Schriften, Bildungs‑ und Erziehungswerken über sozialreformerische Texte, Haushalts‑ und Ratgeberliteratur bis hin zu Memoiren, Reiseberichten und Biographien recht, darunter eine Vielzahl seltener und teils bislang schwer zugänglicher Titel. Die Sammlung basiert vollständig auf Beständen der American Antiquarian Society (AAS), der führenden Institution für frühamerikanische Drucke.
