Verlagsinformation :: Publisher's information

In the years since their release, the first instalments of the British Newspapers programme, 19th Century British Library Newspapers Part I and II have transformed the nature of 19th century research for scholars and students. Following on from the success of these parts, Gale is pleased to announce the release of British Newspapers, Part III: 1780-1950. With an additional 31 titles (and 1 million pages), Part III further extends the range of English regional newspapers and expands the views represented by the series.

The key benefits for researchers in Part III are:

- discovering the kind of local information only ever published in local newspapers

- cross-searching and comparing different reports of a particular event from a range of local newspapers

- examining how dispatches from London are interpreted and transmitted differently depending upon the opinons held by a region or town

All three parts of the collection can be cross-searched with another collection in the British Newspapers programme from the holdings of the British Library, 17th And 18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers,. The British Newspapers programme offers researchers access to four centuries of British newspapers, supporting research in History, Literature, Victorian Studies, Genealogy, Fine Arts, Finance/Economics, Political Science, and more.
