Internationale fachbibliographische Datenbank mit über 4 Millionen Literaturnachweisen zum Gebiet der übertragbaren und infektiösen Erkrankungen, einschließlich der Tropenkrankheiten, AIDS und HIV-Infektionen, sowie der Epidemiologie, der Ernährung und des Gesundheitswesens. Sie konzentriert sich auf die Gesundheit auf Bevölkerungsebene, die Prävention, die Erforschung von Epidemien sowie den Einfluss von Umwelt und Landwirtschaft auf den Menschen. Die Datenbank enthält bibliographische Angaben, inhaltsbeschreibende Schlüsselwörter und englischsprachige Abstracts der Originalartikel (ca. 95 %). Ausgewertet werden neben rund 7.300 wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschriften auch Berichte von Gesundheitsministerien, internationalen Organisationen, NGOs, Konferenzbände und Dissertationen. Berichtszeitraum: 1973 ff. Updates: laufend. Jährlicher Zuwachs: rund 180.000 Nachweise.
